Matthew Stecker

Matthew Stecker
Chairman and CEO

Mr. Stecker was appointed to the Company's Board of Directors in March 2016, was named Executive Chairman in April 2018 and CEO in July 2018. He serves as a member of the Company's Strategic Initiatives Committee. He has a long history of leadership in the Software, Services, and Mobile industries.

After putting himself through law school working for NeXT, he worked at and eventually became President of Marble Associates, Inc., in Boston. Matthew has also run advertising technology at Vindigo, was the CTO of SmartServ, Inc., and was a Vice President and Principal at TMNG/Cartesian and its strategy consultancy CSMG.

Additionally, Matthew has been a Vice President at Real Networks, and served as CEO of Livewire Mobile from 2009 until its sale to OnMobile in 2013. From 2015 to 2017, Matthew was a Senior Advisor at the United States Department of Commerce where he helped to launch FirstNet, the Federal network for Public Safety. He has served on multiple boards and has been an advisor to many startups. He has a high profile in the mobile and digital ecosystems.

He most recently served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the United States Department of Commerce. In that capacity, Stecker was part of the senior team that launched FirstENet. Mr. Stecker currently serves on the board of Live Microsystems, Inc. (OTC:LMSC). Previously, Stecker served as the Vice President of Mobile Entertainment for RealNetworks (NASDAQ:RNWK), CEO of Live MicroSystems, Inc., and as a senior executive in both Telecom Operations and Strategy at Cartesian, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRTN). Mr. Stecker began his career working at NexT Computer.

Stecker received his BA in Political Science and Computer Science from Duke University, and his JD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.

 

Richard Lewis

RIchard Lewis
SVP, Sales

Richard has over 32 years’ experience in international business - specifically in Developing Markets related to expansion in the telecom and technology space. He joined Evolving Systems following the acquisition of Business Logic Systems (BLS). He started there in 2009 to head up new business sales in Europe, Middle East & Africa, establishing a strong base in the region for the Company’s data-driven customer value management and customer engagement solutions. In 2014, Richard became Global Chief Sales Officer of BLS, expanding his role and the Company’s presence in Asia-Pacific and the Caribbean before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in February 2016. As CEO, he was responsible for driving the Company’s turnaround strategy and expanding its global footprint while improving cash flow and profitability that resulted in its acquisition by Evolving Systems. 

Earlier in his career, Richard worked as an Accountant before joining a start-up company in the computer industry in 1984. Following this, he held a number of senior roles at various software and technology firms serving the international telecom industry. These include International Sales & Marketing Director at Computer Answers International, a mobile customer care and billing provider which grew to become one of the world’s largest providers of customer care & billing systems to mobile operators, before being acquired by a UK FTSE 100 company for approximately $80 million. In the year leading up to this acquisition, under his sales leadership, the Company’s revenues increased by 40%.

Richard holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics, Business Finance and Accountancy from Manchester University.

 

Mo Firouzabadian

Mo Firouzabadian
SVP, Sales

Mo arrived at Evolving to help the company focus on sales into Developed Markets following Lumata's acquisition by Evolving in 2017. Prior to joining Evolving, Mo served as the co-CEO of Lumata, responsible for revenue generation and client relationships as well as financial oversight. Mo has over 13 years of experience in telecoms and mobile marketing and has led strategic projects with key clients across retail, media, telecommunications and device manufacturers. He has expertise in strategy, marketing, product development, CRM, sales and organizational transformation. Former employment includes Buongiorno where he created the loyalty and customer value management lines of business as well as set up Buongiorno’s operations in Turkey.

Mo holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

 

Adhish Kulkarni

Adhish Kulkarni
SVP, Solutions

Adhish joined Evolving to help the company with its Digital Engagement strategy following Lumata's acquisition by Evolving in 2017. Prior to joining Evolving, Adhish served as the co-CEO of Lumata. Adhish brings over 15 years of experience in the Telecom and Mobile Marketing industries. At Lumata, he managed the Client Delivery, Product & Marketing functions. Previously, he was part of the management team at Buongiorno Digital and Flytxt, a pioneering mobile marketing specialist. Earlier in his career, Adhish was a senior manager in Accenture's strategy consulting practice covering Communications and Media industries in Europe and Asia.

Adhish holds an MBA from INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France) and a B.Sc. from Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA).

 

Eric Hatton

Eric Hatton
SVP, Solutions

Eric joined Evolving Systems in November 2012 and currently is responsible for Customer Acquisition and Network Services. He started out as Senior Product Director and has driven the introduction of new products, new technologies and new ways to address the go to market model in that time. A 20-year veteran of the telecom industry, he has successfully delivered significant products and projects affecting billions of people all over the globe, including, among many others, the earliest data prepaid charging IN systems, online charging systems, interconnection standards, OSS management systems and mPOS solutions. A unique blend of software technical consultancy background and rich commercial experience has enabled him to become a leading director of product/solution lines, succeeding in delivering new products to market in numerous telecom market domains and driving legacy product lines to achieve new heights in revenue and margin.

Prior to joining Evolving Systems, Eric held Senior Product Management roles in Amdocs, Telcordia, Acision, Logica, and Admiral Computing.

 

Don Stone

Don Stone
SVP, Research and Development

As SVP of Research and Development, Don leads architecture and development of new products and solutions for Evolving Systems.

Don has 25 years of experience in the design, implementation, and deployment of large-scale mission-critical software systems. Prior to joining Evolving Systems, he spent 15 years at Sixth Sense Media as Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect leading the research and development team since company inception. Prior to Sixth Sense Media, he was a systems architect and researcher at IBM as well as an engineer at the Software Engineering Institute. Don holds a BS in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Carnegie-Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina.

 

Hart Singh

Hart Singh
SVP - Ventures

Hart joined Evolving Systems in Feb 2017. He is a serial entrepreneur, starting in 1999 with a Pasadena Incubator/Venture fund where he led startups focused on monetizing frequent-flyer miles and a Police Dept ERP (Enforsys.com) that is a market leader with 650 police departments in 10 US states. He then bootstrapped his own company to create ERPs in the cloud including “Quickbooks on your iPhone” and BeerRun ERP that became a market leader resulting in the successful sale to NASDAQ: PAYD. Prior to his start-up journey, he worked at C-DoT (India) to head a mission on “Electronic Banking” with Sam Pitroda and Jairam Ramesh that led to the creation of the Stockholding Corporation of India.

Hart has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and received his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School. He taught entrepreneurship to MBAs at Rutgers, New York Polytechnic and FDU and co-founded the National Cloud Technologists Association where he co-developed and taught the CloudMaster program that has now been rolled out to 300 New Horizons Centers worldwide.

 

Julie Gosal Hoarau

Mark P. Szynkowski
SVP, Finance

Mark brings with him over twenty years of finance and accounting experience, an extensive background in mergers and acquisitions, budgeting and forecasting, and a broad knowledge of the software technology industry. He most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of 6D Global Technologies, Inc., a digital marketing solutions and services company where he was responsible for overseeing financial operations including SEC filings, and SOX compliance and reporting. Prior to 6D, Mark served in a variety of financial positions with Epiq Systems (NASDAQ: EPIQ acquired by DTI), a leading global technology Software as a Service provider to the legal industry. Over nearly 10 years at Epiq, he held senior positions including Vice President of Finance, Electronic Discovery Segment; Corporate Controller; and Subsidiary Controller.

Earlier in his career, Mark served as Controller for Tradeware Global LLC, Vice President of Finance and Operations for Integro Staffing Services, and was a Senior Auditor with Ernst & Young. Mark has a B.A. in Accounting from Alfred University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Accounting Association.
