Wireless
ENGLEWOOD, Colorado - Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-EVOL), a leading provider of innovative software solutions for operations and systems integration to many of the largest communications companies in the U.S., today announced a new suite of products and services designed to dramatically lower costs and increase operational efficiencies for wireless number portability (WNP) applications.
Since WNP went live on November 24, 2003, carriers have been looking for new ways to reduce costs, drive efficiencies and better address issues around porting fallout. Leveraging its deep expertise and domain knowledge in local number portability (LNP) solutions, Evolving Systems has developed a portfolio of products to help carriers address these issues.
"Wireless Number Portability was a highly anticipated event for the industry in 2003. As porting volumes have increased, porting fallout has emerged as a key issue facing carriers," commented Stephen Gartside, CEO of Evolving Systems. "The industry is seeing significant fallout rates, resulting in thousands of unsuccessful number ports and forcing carriers to staff fallout centers with hundreds of people to address these issues. Working closely with its customers, Evolving Systems is offering a series of solutions to alleviate these issues and increase efficiencies within the process."
- The ServiceXpress™ Port Facilitator is a flexible, browser-based application that addresses the critical issue of wireless porting fallout. The application offers centralized monitoring, identification, and troubleshooting that permits rapid resolution of failed or stalled ports. By centralizing the monitoring, identification and troubleshooting of fallout problems, Evolving Systems' ServiceXpress Port Facilitator is able to dramatically reduce fallout resolution times.
- The NumberManager® Light product offers carriers an attractive alternative to service bureaus. It is specifically targeted to mid-market customers whose WNP costs and porting volumes have grown and who now need a more cost effective, operationally efficient means of bringing WNP functionality in house.
- The LNP Outsourcing Services offering complements Evolving Systems' existing professional services capabilities, providing a turnkey solution for comprehensive LNP operations. The service supports all aspects of the LNP process, including those required for regulatory compliance, production and maintenance support, integration testing and user training.
