20-Apr-2006 - Major Wireless Carrier in Africa Continues Expansion with Evolving Systems' Tertio Activation Solution

Solution provides tools for rapid introduction of new services

ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-EVOL), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier markets, today announced that a major wireless carrier in Africa has placed an order for additional modules of the Company's Tertio™ activation solution, including the Tertio Service Composer™ and Tertio Activation Designer™ tools to support its growth initiatives.

The customer, who currently operates a GSM network with over 10 million subscribers, selected Evolving Systems' service delivery tools to enhance its existing Tertio Service Activation solution. Tertio Service Composer and Tertio Activation Designer will be deployed to support the carrier's continuing rollout of new data and content services. This order reflects the carrier's recognition of the importance of the Tertio activation product suite within its OSS architecture, and marks a continuation of the strong relationship between Evolving Systems and the customer.

Tertio Activation Designer provides an improved way of defining activation rules through the use of a graphical editor. In large-scale, complex deployments it delivers improved productivity and further reduces the total cost of ownership for the overall activation solution. Tertio Service Composer addresses carriers' need to introduce new services quickly while at the same time avoiding lengthy development cycles. As carriers look to introduce more services around data and content, service activation needs to be changed more frequently as more network elements are introduced. Tertio Service Composer allows carriers to shorten the time-to-market cycle needed to introduce these new services.
