15 December 2009 - Evolving Systems Appoints John B. Spirtos to Board of Directors

ENGLEWOOD, Colorado – Evolving Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq-EVOL), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and cable markets, today announced the appointment of John B. Spirtos to the Company’s Board of Directors. Spirtos, 44, fills a vacancy on the board.

Spirtos is executive vice president of GridPoint, Inc., a provider of smart grid solutions to producers and consumers of energy. He previously held the position of senior vice president of Comverse Technology, a provider of billing and messaging software to the global communications industry. Prior to joining Comverse, Spirtos was senior vice president of corporate development of NeuStar, Inc., a provider of clearinghouse and directory services to the communications and Internet industries. Other previous assignments included president of Corvis Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary, Broadwing Communications, Inc., an integrated communications equipment and services provider. Spirtos also serves on the board of directors of Primus Telecommunications, Inc., a global facilities-based services provider offering bundled data, voice and other value-added services. He holds a B.S. from the University of California, a J.D. from Southwestern University and both LL.M and M.B.A. degrees from Georgetown University.
