The allocate stage is all about customer choice: choice of how and when services can be activated, and choice in how number and services are personalized. Carriers that implement the allocate stage well, will stand out from the crowd by making it easy for customers to do business with them.

The allocate stage is the first step in the fulfillment process that starts once a customer has made a purchasing decision. How well the stage is implemented defines what choices a customer can make at activation time and, therefore, in fact, the likelihood of a customer choosing a particular service provider. Can the customer choose their number? Can they choose from vanity or golden numbers that have special meaning to them? Or can they keep their current number if they are changing service provider? How easily can they personalize their services?

During this stage, logical inventory, that most notably includes the telephone number, is assigned to the customer's service profile, taking into account their needs and location.

Our Dynamic SIM Allocation solution provides a new way to activate wireless phone services with an innovative allocation approach. When SIM cards are put into a cell phone and the phone is switched on for the first time, the solution automatically takes over the allocation of the service resources such as number and IMSI and provides a platform for personalization and self-care.
