The allocate stage is the first step in the fulfillment process that starts once a customer has made a purchasing decision. How well the stage is implemented defines what choices a customer can make at activation time and, therefore, in fact, the likelihood of a customer choosing a particular service provider. Can the customer choose their number? Can they choose from vanity or golden numbers that have special meaning to them? Or can they keep their current number if they are changing service provider? How easily can they personalize their services?
During this stage, logical inventory, that most notably includes the telephone number, is assigned to the customer's service profile, taking into account their needs and location.

When SIM cards are put into a cell phone and the phone is switched on for the first time, the solution automatically takes over the allocation of the service resources such as number and IMSI and provides a platform for personalization and self-care.

For the North American market, our Number Portability solution provides carriers with the efficient administration of ported numbers that is essential in open markets. Our solution ensures that number portability requests are reliably exchanged with a clearing house or other carriers, and that the network is updated to ensure calls are properly routed to ported numbers.
